The Vineyard : information and management

♦ The vineyard covers 50 hectares on the edge of the Monbazillac appellation.

♦ The varieties are similar to Bordeaux:

• White (26 hectares): sauvignon blanc, sémillon  and muscadelle.
  
  
• Red (24 hectares): merlot, malbec, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon.
  
  
• The property also has 3,3 hectares of chardonnay.

♦ The vineyard has been restructured and the density is 4500 vines/hectare for the whites and 5000 vines/hectare for the reds.

♦  All the vines are single trellised and cane or spur pruned.

♦  All the vines are partially or fully mechanically deleafed.

♦  Selected blocks are manually green harvested

♦  Since 2008, we are reproducing selected old white varieties.
